There’s good news flowing through Mount Sinai Hospital! The Côte Saint-Luc facility is completing major renovations of its showers—an upgrade that delivers benefits to both patients and staff.
Thanks to support from the Mount Sinai Foundation, the shower rooms on all three floors have been modernized into airy, welcoming spaces that emphasize care and safety.
“Patients can now shower with comfort and privacy in a spa-like atmosphere, while still having their medical needs met with the appropriate staff and equipment,” says Dr. Suzanne Levitz, our CIUSSS’s Medical Director and Associate Director of Professional Services.
Patients and residents can enjoy features such as heated towels and radiant heaters to keep them warm after showering. And staff value enhancements such as larger spaces and improved layouts, which make providing care easier and safer, says Dr. Levitz, a long-time physician at Mount Sinai.
“The improved space has already been the subject of positive feedback and expressions of gratitude to our foundation and donors who made this possible,” she adds.
Renovations are complete on Mount Sinai’s third and fourth floors, while upgrades continue on the second floor.
