Laurence Benoit-Dubé appointed Director of Mental Health and Addiction

Jul 2, 2025

Congratulations to Laurence Benoit-Dubé, who has been appointed our CIUSSS’s new Director of the Mental Health and Addiction Directorate, effective immediately.

Ms. Benoit-Dubé, an Occupational Therapist by training, holds a Master’s degree in business administration, with a specialization in health services management. This professional profile reflects her double expertise in administrative and clinical matters—assets that will be essential in the application of her strategic vision.

Over the years, Ms. Benoit-Dubé has held key leadership positions, notably as Associate Director of Alternatives to Hospitalization and Community Rehabilitation. In that capacity, she implemented innovative projects, such as the Brief Intervention Unit, Brief Intensive Psychiatric Treatment, and the Assertive Community Treatment in Parc-Extension.

She also led our CIUSSS’s forensic psychiatry project, which provides assessment, care and treatment to mentally disordered offenders and to others who require similar services.

Ms. Benoit-Dubé’s involvement in this and other innovative initiatives enabled her to make a crucial contribution to our network’s achieving a 100-per-cent compliance rate during the 2025 Accreditation Canada visit.
