To encourage CIUSSS staff to complete their annual Hand Hygiene Certification, members of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) team promoted their training at sites across our network on May 8, World Hand Hygiene Day.
According to IPAC’s findings, the unit within the CIUSSS that achieved the highest number of employee recertification was K8, at the JGH. Members of the team on the Cardiovascular, ENT, Thoracic and General Surgery floor were awarded a trophy by IPAC for their commitment to protecting patients from hospital-acquired infections.
