Congratulations to Giovanna Cocco, who has been appointed to the position of Director of Nursing for our CIUSSS.
Ms. Cocco, who is presently serving as the network’s Director of the Mental Health and Addiction Programs, will take on her new role on June 30.
Ms. Cocco brings to her new position over 26 years of experience in the health and social services field, where she began as a clinical nurse, primarily within mental health. She has also held management and leadership positions in various CIUSSS and hospitals in the fields of mental health, rehabilitation, nursing and geriatrics.
She counts among her accomplishments putting into place a mental health hospital-at-home program, and implementing a regional mental health unit (unité de vie régionale en santé mentale), which is a living environment for adult patients with heavy needs.
Ms. Cocco obtained her MBA at Université Sherbrooke in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Université de Montréal in 2003.
