Congratulations to Giovanna Cocco, the new Associate Executive Director of CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. With more than 27 years of leadership experience in Quebec’s health and social services network, Ms. Cocco is recognized for her strong clinical and administrative expertise, strategic vision and ability to mobilize teams across hospital and community settings.
Most recently, as Director of Nursing and Director of the Cancer Care Program, she played a key role in strengthening and optimizing specialized services within our academic environment.
“Throughout her career, Ms. Cocco has distinguished herself through her collaborative approach, her use of data to guide decision‑making, her dedication to quality, and her commitment to improving the experience of users across the continuum of care,” said Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg, President and CEO of our CIUSSS.
“She has led significant initiatives in clinical governance, accreditation and innovation, as well as helping to shape new models of care and building durable partnerships that benefit the people we serve.”

Ms. Cocco replaces Gary Stoopler, who retired this year.
