Irina Blumer

Congratulations to Irina Blumer on her new role as our CIUSSS’s Associate Director of General Services and Access to Primary Care in Frontline Integrated Services. Ms. Blumer will be responsible for the frontline teams in Info-Santé, InfoSocial, the on-call medical nurses (GIMA), and General Services in our CIUSSS’s five CLSCs. In addition, she will coordinate the 15 Family Medicine Groups (GMFs) in our region and will manage the Quebec Family Doctor Finder (GAMF) and the Primary Care Access Points (GAP).

In keeping with our CIUSSS’s Care Everywhere approach, Ms. Blumer will also collaborate with network and community partners to improve our users’ access to quality care, programs and services across the healthcare continuum.

Just prior to her recent appointment, Ms. Blumer served for four years as a coordinator directing management teams within Frontline Services. In this capacity, she established links with internal and external partners to improve access to quality care for our users. With a strong background in managing chronic conditions and preventive care, as well as developing trajectories of care within the GMF and GAP programs, she was involved in introducing several innovative projects, such as a nursing clinic for patients without a family doctor.

Before joining our network, Ms. Blumer acquired over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare field and the pharmaceutical industry, where she was involved in a wide range of projects to improve performance and implement change management.
