Congratulations to Patrik Marier on having his mandate renewed as Scientific Director of the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS). Mr. Marier is a full professor in Concordia University’s Department of Political Science, and lead researcher of the research team VIES (Vieillissement, exclusions sociales et solidarités).
His research into gerontology, public policy and political science focuses on the impact of aging in many areas, including pensions, labour and social services programs. Last year saw the publication of his book The Four Lenses of Population Aging: Planning for the Future in Canada’s Provinces (University of Toronto Press). He is also the principal investigator in various ongoing research projects that contribute to advances in social gerontology.
