Congratulations to Dr. Howard Bergman, who has been named Knight of the Ordre national du Québec by Premier François Legault. Award recipients were decorated June 21 at a ceremony in the Legislative Council Chamber of the Parliament Building in Quebec City. Dr. Bergman has had a distinguished career at the Jewish General Hospital as both a physician in Geriatric Medicine and in the memory clinic and as a senior researcher at the Lady Davis Institute. He was also Director of Geriatric Medicine at the JGH and at McGill from 1993 to 2009.
Founded in 1984, the Ordre national is the most prestigious recognition awarded by the Quebec government.
