The JGH Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) held its 4th Annual Five-Kilometer Fundraiser Race along the Lachine Canal at the end of September.

Participation in the event was strong, helping the department to well surpass the fundraising goal, with total donations raised of $270,000. More than 50 runners took part, supported by 30 volunteers, among them colleagues, loved ones, and even four-legged friends! Teams were formed for some light-hearted competition, aptly named “Ear We Go!”, “The Tumournators”, “The Aspirators” and “Thyroid Storm,” with “The Running Noses” leading the pack.

Funds raised are earmarked for research, equipment and teaching.

The ENT 5-km Fundraiser Race was led by Dr. Richard Payne and an organizing committee of ENT team members Renee SpenceCarole GoldbergRosie TalaslianDr. Jessica Hier and Dr. Emily Kay-Rivest.
