The Nominating Committee of the Executive Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Danielle Leggett as Executive Director of Hope & Cope, effective May 22, 2018.
Ms. Leggett comes to us with 20 years of experience in human resources management, with specific expertise in talent management, employee and leadership coaching and motivation, organizational design and strategic planning. She is passionate about helping organizations achieve their full potential by investing in their greatest resource – their people – and equally passionate about the importance of giving back to the community, serving as a Board and Executive member of West Island Community Shares as well as other community initiatives.
“Hope & Cope is such a well-respected, pioneering organization that offers much needed support to cancer patients,” notes Ms. Leggett. “I am excited to get started and to work collaboratively with the team of outstanding volunteers, staff and lay leaders so that together we can take Hope & Cope to the next level.”
Ms. Leggett succeeds Suzanne O’Brien, who will remain in an advisory capacity as she transitions to her new role as Chair of the Board. “We are thrilled to welcome Danielle. She is the right person to lead us as we meet the challenges of providing top notch supportive cancer care in an ever-shifting health-care environment.”
