Christine Marcotte appointed Associate Director of Academic Affairs

Congratulations to Christine Marcotte, who has been appointed the Associate Director of the Academic Affairs and Research Ethics Directorate, effective March 25.

As part of her new role, Ms. Marcotte will be responsible for the excellence of the Directorate’s activities and services, so that all decisions concerning the care and services provided through the CIUSSS are connected to the university and academic mission. She will develop innovative practices that promote a culture of learning within the CIUSSS, while providing an exceptional experience for learners, teachers and users. Ms. Marcotte will also be responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships within the CIUSSS and in the community.

Ms. Marcotte comes to our CIUSSS with a background in research and management, as well as an expertise in communications. She most recently held the position of Interim Director at CHILD-BRIGHT Network, a national patient-oriented research network based at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. The innovative research program was developed based on research priorities identified by youth and parents, as well as frontline clinicians and healthcare administrators.
