Congratulations to Leandro Pimenta, who has been appointed Associate Director of the National Centre of Expertise in Computerization of Access to Services, Innovation component. He took up his position on July 17.
Mr. Pimenta obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, and was in the process of obtaining his Masters in Health Systems from the same institution this summer. Mr. Pimenta comes to us from the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, where he was a Senior Advisor in Business Intelligence for the IT Department. He also served as a consultant who develops innovative solutions for organizations by adapting processes and systems to address changing technological needs. This approach uses new technologies, especially cloud computing and artificial intelligence, to enhance the user experience.
In his new position, Mr. Pimenta will similarly streamline our network’s technological tools to improve access to frontline services, specialized medicine and telehealth. He will apply the Lean philosophy and innovative best practices to assist teams in improving their performance and management, and promote collaboration among sites throughout our network.
