Appointment of Carl Drouin — Access to Medical Services

Congratulations to Carl Drouin, who on September 19 became Associate Director for Access to Medical Services of the Montreal Regional Department of General Medicine (DRMG), which falls under our CIUSSS. In this role, he will be instrumental in improving the patient experience by helping to ensure that prompt access to medical services is available to all members of the public.

Mr. Drouin holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in geography from Université Laval and a doctorate in Geography and Urban Planning from the University of Toronto. He has nearly 25 years of experience, acquired in a university environment, at the Direction de la santé publique de Montréal and at the Institut universitaire Jeunes en difficulté of CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. In recent years, he has successively held the positions of Scientific Coordinator of Information Management and Coordinator of the CoMPAS+ program (Collectif pour les meilleures pratiques et l’amélioration des soins et services de première ligne) at the Institut national d’excellence en santé et services sociaux.
