Our CIUSSS collaborates with Indigenous community partners to improve care and make it more culturally safe — that is, to have care and services provided in a way that respects the perspectives and preferences of Indigenous people, ensuring they feel secure.
On June 26, at the second annual meeting for joint governance for cultural safety, managers from CIUSSS West-Central Montreal came together with Indigenous partners in a spirit of listening and co-construction.
Nina Segalowitz, an Inuk elder, inaugurated the meeting with a message of hope and gratitude, accompanied by a performance of singing and drumming. The event took place at CLSC Métro, a central point in our CIUSSS where care and services are available.
You’re invited to stay informed about upcoming activities and training sessions, coordinated by the Associate CEO’s office and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging team in our CIUSSS.
